Chelsea press conference LIVE: Frank Lampard on Sterling, Kovacic, Mendy, Nottingham Forest draw

Psalm International brings you coverage of Frank Lampard's press conference following Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon

       Chelsea Interim Boss Frank Lampard

Hello and welcome to Psalm International's live coverage of Frank Lampard's press conference following Chelsea's draw with Nottingham Forest.

Taiwo Awoniyi scored 13 minutes after hesitancy in goal from the returning Edouard Mendy, who missed the ball despite coming out to punch it. Chelsea was unable to create too much all game long and the game looked as if it was going to pass them by.

However, Raheem Sterling fired past Keylor Navas early into the second half after a fine cross from Trevoh Chalobah on the right-hand side. Sterling then did it again a minute later with a superb solo effort that left Navas with no chance. An inspired second-half display from the 28-year-old but it wasn't enough to hand Chelsea all three points.

Awoniyi was on hand to head in yet again for the visitor moments after Sterling's second goal. It proved to be the final goal of the game with Lampard and his side having to settle for a draw.

Mateo Kovacic limped off in the first half with a looked like a muscular injury. The Croatian now looks set to join N'golo Kante on the sidelines, with Lampard confirming the Frenchman will miss the next couple of weeks with a groin problem.

We will bring you every word Lampard says in his post-match press conference right here on Psalm International. All you have to do is scroll down and read along to our coverage.

That's is from Lampard

We will have a full transcript online soon

On forest first's goal

"They can happen. you're disappointed with them. One player scores, you don't spend all week recreating that moment because that can happen"

On Challobah

"I thought Trevoh was fantastic. He steps in with urgency, he defends well. He was physically great"

On Chukwuemeka absence

"Carney was not well the other night"

On Sterling

"It's important. Raheem's a player that has credit in that bank as such. He's been a regular scorer for his club and country. I'm very happy for him. it's what we need at the top end of the pitch. if you're going to win games when you have 76% possession, you need killers on the pitch,"

                   On struggling with set-pieces

"The long loopy throw is a difficult one to defend against. They're a bigger team than us which is a natural thing. The threat of set-pieces, counter-attack, the players understood that but you have to deal with that.

                 On Mendy starting

"We've got two good goalkeepers. Edou has been training really well. He's a goalkeeper we trust so he started."

Waiting for Lampard

The interim boss will indeed be asked about Raheem Sterling after his two goals, as well as Mateo Kovacic who limped off with an injury
